Simpson Road Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study

Osceola County will hold a public hearing for the proposed improvements to Simpson Road PD&E Study, from US 192 to 560’ south of Myers Road in Osceola County, Florida. The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by Osceola County pursuant to 23 U.S.C. § 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 14, 2016, and executed by FHWA and FDOT. The public hearing will be held Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020 6 p.m., 6:45 p.m. for Formal Portion, located at the Osceola County Administrative Building, Commission Chambers (4th Floor), 1 Courthouse Square Kissimmee, FL 34741.

The public hearing is being held to allow interested persons an opportunity to provide comments concerning the location, conceptual design, and social, economic, and environmental effects of the proposed improvements. Draft project documents will be available for public review from February 6, 2020 to March 9, 2020, at the following locations and on the project website.

A court reporter will be present to record the proceedings, and assist the public with verbal comments. Written comments may be submitted before or at the hearing, sent by mail to Joshua DeVries, AICP, Director of Planning, Department of Transit and Transportation, Osceola County, 1 Courthouse Square, Kissimmee, FL 34741, or emailed to Joshua.DeVries@osceola.org no later than Monday, March 9, 2020, to become part of the project’s public record.
