Housing Finance Authority

Purpose

The Housing Finance Authority was created pursuant to Osceola County Ordinance No. 81-4 for the purpose of alleviating a shortage of housing and providing capital for investment in housing in Osceola County.

Appointments and Qualifications

The Authority shall consist of five (5) residents of the County. Florida Statute 159.605 provides that not less than a majority of the members of the Housing Finance Authority shall be knowledgeable in one of the following fields: labor, finance or commerce.

Term Limits

Terms are four years.

Meeting Frequency, Time and Location

Meetings are held quarterly on the third Tuesday of the month, at 1:00 p.m. Meetings currently being held at Hart Memorial Library, 211 E. Dakin Avenue, Kissimmee, FL 34741.
