Public Hearing with a 5-day Comment Period for the CDBG-CV Substantial Amendment to the 2019 Annual Action Plan
Osceola County intends to reallocate $1,412,023.00 in CDBG-CV funds previously allocated for theMicroenterprise Small Business Assistance Program to replace HVAC systems in public libraries in response to COVID-19. The funding will be used for:
- Replacing outdated or inefficient HVAC systems in Osceola County library facilities.
- Ensuring a safer environment for library patrons and staff, improving air quality, and reducing the spread of airborne illnesses in accordance with CDC guidelines.
Purpose of the Amendment:
The reallocation of funds will enhance public health and safety by improving the air circulation and ventilation systems in library buildings, which are frequently used by the public and are located within low to moderate income areas. This project is critical to ensure that library facilities remain safe and functional for the community, especially considering the ongoing effects of COVID-19.
