Osceola County is seeking dedicated, Florida State-Certified Corrections Officers and Correctional Officers Cadets to help maintain safety within our correctional facility. Our mission is to provide a safe, secure, and humane environment for the public, staff, and those requiring detention or supervision in Osceola County.

Minimum Qualifications:

For Certified Correctional Officers:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must possess a current Florida State Corrections Certification.
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License (CDL with passenger endorsement required for inmate transport).

For Correctional Officers Cadets:

  • For consideration, candidates are required to pass the Correctional Criminal Justice Basic Ability Test (CJBAT). For additional details about the CJBAT and study resources, please visit www.home.pearsonvue.com/fdle/bat. Please note that the County will cover the $39 exam fee upon successful completion of the interview process.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License (CDL with passenger endorsement required for inmate transport).
