Automated Fire Protection Rating Letter Portal Now Available
Published on July 16, 2026
Osceola County is making it easier for residents, property owners, and insurance professionals to obtain official fire protection classification letters with the launch of a new online Fire Protection Rating Letter Portal.
Developed through a collaboration between Osceola County GIS Services, the IT Department and Fire Rescue & EMS, the portal uses a centralized GIS database to ensure consistent, accurate, and reliable fire protection information for every request.
The self-service tool allows users to generate an official Insurance Services Office (ISO) Public Protection Classification (PPC) Rating Letter in just a few minutes, eliminating the need to contact the Fire Marshal's Office or wait for staff assistance.
To use the portal, simply enter a property address. The system automatically evaluates the property's fire protection information using official County GIS data and generates a standardized rating letter that can be viewed, downloaded, or printed immediately.
These letters are commonly requested by insurance companies when evaluating property insurance coverage and premiums. Previously, requests required staff to manually research property information and prepare each letter individually. By automating the process, the County is providing faster service while allowing Fire Marshal staff to dedicate more time to core public safety responsibilities.
Residents, property owners, and insurance representatives can access the Fire Protection Rating Letter Portal by visiting Osceola.org and searching for "Fire Protection Rating Letter," or by using the direct portal link below.
