Healthy Seniors Initiative

The Senior Rental Assistance Program is designed to ease the burden of seniors and connect our Osceola County residents with the resources they need with rental assistance.

To be eligible for rental assistance, applicants must:

• Be head of household and receive Social Security Benefits (SSI/SSDI).
• Be 62 or old and a District 2 Osceola County resident for more than 6 months.
• Have a household income of 80% or below income limit.

Senior Rental Assistance Program

To be eligible for an eyeglasses certificate, applicants must:

• Applicants must be older than 55 years of age.
• Must reside in Osceola County for more than 6 months.
• Each applicant has a maximum monthly income of $2,500.
• Have not received an Osceola Eyeglass Prescription Certificate within the past 24 months.
• Have no other resources to pay for glasses (including insurance, federal/state programs, and other charitable support).

Eyeglasses for Seniors Program 

Senior Smiles offers affordable and accessible denture services for eligible seniors. Osceola County is committed to enhance the health and well-being of the community that helps seniors access dentures services, including the purchase of dentures and related care. To be eligible for this program:

• Participants must be 55 years or older
• Participants must reside in Osceola County*
• Participants can be insured or uninsured
• A dental exam and X-rays will be required

*Note: The Senior Smiles Program currently has limited funding and prioritizes eligible seniors within Osceola County. Program availability may vary depending on funding levels and select areas in Osceola County.

Come Move, Laugh, and Connect with Your Community!

At no cost, Osceola County is committed to support the health, wellness, and social connection of our growing senior (55 & up) community.

Activities include:

– Sit and Be Fit
Seated Exercise Class

This seated exercise class is a gentle, low impact seated workout designated for seniors who prefer light movement. This class is great for improving flexibility, circulation, and overall wellness.

– Bingo

Come join us for a lively morning of bingo, connection, and prizes. This activity is a great way to connect with others and enjoy some classic fun before summer break!

– Zumba

Zumba is a popular exercise that uses dance moves combined with Latin and international music to get the heart rate up and pumping. Seniors can enjoy free classes at the Robert Guevara Community Center on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 9 a.m.
