Neptune Road Project PD&E Phase
A Project Development and Environment (PD&E) study was conducted to evaluate improving a 3.9-mile segment of Neptune Road, between Partin Settlement road and U.S. 192. The study evaluates various alternative improvements and their impacts to the physical, natural, social and cultural environments. An Alternatives Public Information Meeting was held on April 11, 2019 to obtain public input and information presented at that meeting is available for review on the “Public Meeting 2019” tab at left. Following that meeting, a recommended preferred alternative was identified as a combination of Alternative 1 (North) and Alternative B (5-lane), with both segments to be modified to reduce impacts and right-of-way acquisition costs. The recommended Preferred Alternative was presented to the Osceola County Board of County Commissioners on May 13, 2019. A copy of that presentation is available for review on the “BoCC Presentation 5-13-2019” tab at left. The Preferred Alternative refinements will be presented at a Public Hearing. As information is made available on the Public Hearing, it will be posted on the “Public Hearing 2021” tab at left.
All additional documents associated with the PD&E study are posted at left under the “Documents” tab as the PD&E study draws to conclusion.
