Neptune Road Project PD&E Phase

A Project Development and Environment (PD&E) study was conducted to evaluate improving a 3.9-mile segment of Neptune Road, between Partin Settlement road and U.S. 192. The study evaluated various alternative improvements and their impacts to the physical, natural, social and cultural environments. An Alternatives Public Information Meeting was held on April 11, 2019 to obtain public input. Following that meeting, a recommended preferred alternative was identified as a combination of Alternative 1 (North) and Alternative B (5-lane), with both segments to be modified to reduce impacts and right-of-way acquisition costs. The recommended Preferred Alternative was adopted by the Osceola County Board of County Commissioners on May 13, 2019. The Preferred Alternative refinements were then presented at a Public Hearing on September 24, 2020 and that information is available on the Public Hearing 9-24-2020 page.

The PD&E study was completed on January 28, 2021, which allowed the project to further advance into the design phase of development.
