Local Mitigation Strategy
2020 Local Mitigation Strategy(PDF, 53MB)
Osceola County Emergency Management coordinates a local team of partner agencies to create and manage a plan called the Local Mitigation Strategy. This plan helps our county be better prepared for emergencies like hurricanes, floods, or other disasters. The goal is to keep people safe and help the community recover faster after something happens. The plan includes ideas from both public and private groups, and we want to hear from you, too! We look at what kinds of dangers our county might face and come up with smart, safe, and affordable ways to reduce the impacts from those dangers. You can help!
Please complete this short survey below to share your thoughts. Your answers will help us understand what is most important to you and your neighborhood. The planning team will use your input to better identify localized concerns and mitigation opportunities.
Thank you for your time and help!
