Boggy Creek Study
EAST BOGGY CREEK RURAL ENCLAVE STUDY
Osceola County has evaluated non-residential and industrial land countywide. As a result, land generally located east of Turnberry Boulevard and along Boggy Creek Road was identified for additional study. Proposed Future Land Use Map amendments were transmitted to the Florida Department of Commerce based on study findings and community meetings. The final phase of the study includes additional community meetings to discuss code updates and implementation of proposed land use changes.
Schedule
- August 2023 – October 2023: Internal review with administration to refine recommendations - COMPLETED
- October/November 2023: Presentation of findings and recommendations to Board of County Commissioners for further direction - COMPLETED
- January/February 2024: If applicable, direction for change provided by the board will be shared the broader community - COMPLETED
- December 2024: Public hearings for transmittal to the state - COMPLETED
- March 2025: Community Meetings for code updates-COMPLETED
- July/August 2025: Advertised adoption of Future Land Use Map and code updates

WEST BOGGY CREEK RURAL ENCLAVE STUDY
Due to community feedback, staff analysis, and discussion - The West Boggy Creek Rural Enclave Study Area is no longer under consideration for changes. Until further notice, no additional staff-initiated meetings, for the West Boggy Creek Rural Enclave Study Area, will take place. Applicant-initiated requests to change Future Land Use Map designation(s) will continue to be accepted and reviewed in accordance with County policy and procedures.
